Actor

Actors portray the role of a non-member who is interested in learning more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Missionaries may meet with you a number of times, depending on the language. As an actor, you will show spiritual progress throughout the meeting(s). Actors should be focused on portraying a sincere, adaptable, and believable role for missionaries to experience what it feels like to apply their purpose.

There are times when we are not actively interviewing applicants. We hire based on the needs and numbers of the missionaries in each language. Do not let that discourage you from applying. We will reach out when our hiring needs allow. Also, we highly recommend that you apply for other areas.

ABOUT THE JOB

On average, 20,000 missionaries come through the Provo Missionary Training Center each year. But the MTC is more than a housing facility. This position is central to the missionaries' role to Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. Each generation of missionaries has the potential to become the greatest generation the world has known. We are committed to helping every missionary who comes through our physical or virtual doors achieve that goal. We need the greatest generation of employees to help these missionaries.

When you become a part of the MTC, you will work with talented people who are committed to living and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. While each position will have its own roles and responsibilities, all positions will be empowered to bless the lives of missionaries. We are looking for covenant keepers who are interested in growing and developing themselves and others.

ACTOR

Missionaries at the MTC focus on learning and developing skills found in Preach My Gospel, specifically related to their missionary purpose. During their training, missionaries will have the opportunity to apply these teaching and language skills in real teaching scenarios. In these teaching scenarios, our actors portray the role of a non-member who wants to meet with the missionaries to learn more. We hire actors in 50+ languages to meet with missionaries in both their native and mission languages to help prepare them to enter the mission field.
