Language Tutor
Online & In-Classroom Language Tutor for Pre-MTC, in-MTC, and occasional In-Field Missionaries as directed by the training supervisor. Responsible for Language Teaching & Mentoring. The training may occur in person, or via zoom conferencing.
Most openings for Tutors come in April/May and July/August. However, we accept applications at all times.

Responsibilities:
Design lessons and learning experiences to help individual missionaries progress with their personal language goals.
Coach individual missionaries in goals and plans, adjusting to missionary life, and the strategies of language learning
Prepare daily to meet missionary needs.
Communicate with Pre-MTC, in-MTC, and occasionally In-field Missionaries via email, phone, or google chats.
Attend required online and in-person training meetings and supervisor 1:1’s
Communicate missionary progress to Supervisors and Co-teachers
Effectively helps others understand the purpose of missionary work
Set a good example of an MTC employee, in any venue.
Qualifications:
Have a current Temple Recommend
Strong language skills in specified language
Knowledge and solid understanding of Preach My Gospel
Self-motivated and enthusiastic, punctual
Returned missionary (preferred)
Excellent interpersonal, prioritizing, and organization skills
Able to work well independently
Gives constructive and direct feedback
Proactive in implementing direction and training from the training supervisor, and the manager to their own teaching
Comfortable communicating via zoom, email, and google chats.
