Senior Missionary Instruction
Senior missionary teachers help senior couples and single sisters prepare for their missions worldwide. A teacher will work with a group of missionaries through a specialized curriculum. The curriculum is catered to who they are as senior missionaries and their specific mission assignments.
The three areas available in Senior Missionary Training positions include:
Preach My Gospel Teacher
A teacher focuses on the use of Preach My Gospel within a mission and helping senior missionaries become focused on how they will be missionaries within the assignment they've been given (Mission Medical, Visitor Center, Farmlands, Family History, Office etc.)
Mission Office Training Teacher
While building on the principles of the missionary purpose, a teacher will provide technical training for working within a mission office setting (finance, housing, baptism records, etc.). Previous knowledge of or experience in a mission office is not required.
Member and Leader Support Teacher
A teacher will help senior missionaries with the Member and Leader Support (MLS) assignment to understand how they can support and strengthen the area where they are assigned to labor. A teacher will prepare senior missionaries to apply trainings on various topics such as, self-reliance, family history, working with YSA, finding skills, and strengthening recent converts.
